Skincare

Now I am not a skin specialist so this won't be one of them really professional facial skincare beauty tips kind of thing, but I do know something from my own experience, so I am going to share three products, well technically four, that I have been using and loving!

First of all there are three main facial skin types: Dry, oily, and a combination of both. However there is also sensitive skin, and spot prone skin, etc...
I personally have quite oily skin, but it is not really oily, I get a lot of spots, however there are the odd days were my skin is more or less flawless. This post is basically going to be about spot prone skin, how spots are caused, and what I use to get rid of them and reduce getting them again.

So spots are caused, by blocked pores becoming infected, however hormones play quite a role as well that's why mostly teenagers get spots and acne. I mostly get spots on my forehead, and occasionally on my nose, cheeks, and chin. Most people do get spots on their forehead, this could be from greasy hair, and sweat, but some kind of bacteria got into your pores and created a spot.

Hygiene is important, and the first step for getting rid of spots, washing your face morning and night, is what I do and what helps.
This is what I use to wash my face:

1) First my face wash, I used to use the neutrogena pink grapefruit daily scrub, and my face was looking really healthy, fresh, and clear, however I stopped using it as it was a scrub, and we got a foreo face cleanser, that we couldn't use scrubs with, however I highly recommend the wash, here is a link: http://www.boots.com/en/Neutrogena-Visibly-Clear-Pink-Grapefruit-Daily-Scrub_1110483/
So at the moment I am using the clean and clear deep action cream wash, which I haven't been using for long, but it has defiantly got rid of a few spots for me, and I'm liking it so far, I also like that it is oil free. Here is a link to somewhere you can find it:http://www.boots.com/en/Clean-Clear-Deep-Action-Oil-Free-Cream-Wash-150ml_1445/
2) Next it's my cleanser, and it's the foreo, cleanser, it's anti-ageing and it gets rid of dead skin, reduces the size of spots , and helps get rid of them altogether. So what you do is you put your face wash onto your face, and then turn the foreo on, it vibrates and you can move it slowly across your face, it comes with a charger, and I think thats the only minus, because you have to recharge it quite often. But overall I have been loving it. Here is a link to where to find it: http://www.boots.com/en/Foreo-LUNA-Anti-Aging-Skincare-Device-for-Normal-Sensitive-Skin_1488484/
3)Finally my moisturiser which I use after I wash my face. I use the neutrogena visibly clear oil free moisturiser. I've used it for quite a long time now, and I absolutely love it! Here is a link to where you can find it: http://www.boots.com/en/Neutrogena-Visibly-Clear-Pink-Grapefruit-Oil-Free-Moisturiser-50ml_1253356/

Girl online book review.

Hey guys! You might be aware that I am a huge Zoella [Zoë Sugg]fan.
Last year she wrote a book which was published on November 25th. I could not wait to read it! I got it for Christmas last year, and whenever I had any spare time I would read that book. I would always limit myself to one more page or a chapter a day, so I could have something to read at school. However that didn't work! I was so into the book there was no way I would of put it down. I read the book in two days, I read 2 chapters on one day and the rest the next.
Here I will give a honest review on the book:
I think if you ever enjoyed Jacqueline Wilson books as a little child, you probably will most likely enjoy Girl Online. It is defiantly not an adventure book, but more of a daily life story of a young girl with the name of Penny. Here is a rough description of what happens in the book:
Penny hides herself under an anonymous blog, which of course she has written. There she can be herself, away from her friends, boy drama, her crazy family, and panic attacks. When things get from bad to worse her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets Noah...she is suddenly falling into love with this boy, capturing it all on her blog. But Noah has a secret too, one that threatens to ruin Penny's cover, and her closest friendship forever...
If I'm going to be completely honest, I was a bit disappointed by the ending of the book. I would of liked his secret to be a bit darker than what it was, that would defiantly make the plot more interesting, and I also think the ending was quite fairytale like, I know it is a fictional novel but...you get where I'm coming from.  But overall I loved the way the book was written, and how it gripped me, clinging on to every word. As most of you might be aware the book has a possibility of a ghost writer, I am not entirely convinced but the more I think about it the more it occurs to me. But I do believe Zoë had the most impact on her book. I would love it if Girl Online was turned into a movie, I would be there first in line ready to watch it in the cinemas! However I am extremely excited for "Girl Online 2", now she has revealed the title..."girl online- on tour"
I think one of the main reasons I started this blog, was thanks to Girl Online, which inspired me, so I am hugely grateful that it was written. Thank you for reading my book review, I might be writing  more of these, as one of the things I am planning to do this summer is read more...which is sooo happnening ehem! I hope you understand the sarcasm of mine...

Town...

Me and www.ellagram.blogspot.co.uk have been in town quite a bit ago now...it was yesterday for me now when I'm writing this, but it will be different for you depending on when this post will go up.
We were planning to go into town with a bigger group of friends however that didn't work out, but we went on our own instead. It is always fun to arrange a town trip with your friends in the summer, because shopping together makes it better, and it's a fun day out! Mine and Elly's town trips are always incredibly long, we circle the shopping centre at least 10 times haha! We always like to grab some food when we get hungry and carry on. We went into topshop and tried on these big blue puffy dresses for the joke, it didn't fit me, I had to keep holding it up haha.
Here are a few photos we picked out from that day:
Jon Burgermans art outside urban outfitters.
This little garden patch in the town centre is a nice place to lay out a blanket and have a picnic, or just enjoy the sun.

Here you can see more of the grass and flowers.

We decided we liked most of the hats, so we tried them all on...I liked these the most
These hats are from newlook, I couldn't find this exact hat on the website, but here's a link to a quite similar one: http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/accessories/stone-straw-band-trim-floppy-hat-_339503816

Neither of us had ever tried shake away, but outside their shop they were giving out free samples of their milkshakes/smoothies in little cups, we gave them a try, I took the skittle one, and Elly took a fudge one, they were both equally nice, and I would love to try out a full sized shake away.
Here someone was making a dog out of sand I thought it was quite cool.

I never came across that I would ever try on high waisted jeans or even like them, but Elly was trying them on in top shop, so I took random pair of the rail, and tried them on too. I must say I do like them very much, especially with the ripped knees, however I didn't purchase them.

This wasn't in town but me and Elly share a huge love for lipton ice tea, my personal favourite is the raspberry flavoured one. It's for me the best refreshing drink in the summer, and a turn on normal tea.

I really hope you have enjoyed my blog post today, it's something a bit different, but if you'd like me to do more of these types, please leave a comment down below, and give a follow to keep updated, thanks.

Flapjacks

I have recently had a craving for flapjacks! So I decided to browse different recipes from everywhere and kind of join them all together to create my own. I made flapjacks two days in a row, and they turned out to be really delicious, I will definitely be making them again when I can get my hands onto more oats and honey...
Enjoy!

Before I list the ingredients and the rough amount I usually use, I just want to say that I pour in the amount of honey, or oats or something from the eye, just until it looks good and the mixture is a good consistency.

Ingredients:
 250g of porridge oats.
100g of butter room temperature.
120g of sugar, any type.
Honey, which I don't have a measurement for, just pour it in, until your mixture is a nice wet mixture.

1)Preheat your oven to 200 degrees, fan oven.
2) Grease your baking tray, and put baking sheets onto it.
3)Take a large mixing bowl and put in all your ingredients.
4) Mix it all together with a wooden spoon.
5) Keep adding honey until your mixture is wet.
6) Using your hands, rub everything together, so all the butter disappears, and everything is well mixed.
7)Scoop your mixture out with a spoon onto your baking tray and spread it all out, so theres no gaps.
8) Put it into the oven onto the middle shelf.
9) Let bake for ten minuets; you won't be able to tell if it's ready  by touching it because it stays soft in the oven, however, it does change into a beautiful golden brown and the edges start slightly browning.
10)Take it out when assumed is ready, and let it cool for 15 minuets .
11)Once cool, cut it into pieces and place them all onto a plate.
12)Enjoy!!!
This was my flapjack. The size may vary from yours as I may have not used the exact amount of ingredients as above.

Summer bucket list checklist.

"find a small wild animal outside, could even be a ladybird, make it a habitat and keep it for a day."

Hey guys, I did find a 'wild animal' more of a 'wild insect', but it was  a grass hopper! I named it Felix Butler...sound familiar? cheesyyy...
So cute.

Summer bucket list checklist

"watch the sunrise"

Good morning everyone! I finally woke up early enough to watch the sunrise, for my summer bucket list ! I think it was fairly worth it...I thought I might compare the sunrise to the sunset, so a few nights before, I took a photo of the sunset, and this morning the sunrise...

This was the sunrise a few nights ago, it"s a much more clearer photo than the sunrise.

This was the sunrise this morning, as you can see it isn't the best photo but I tried...through my blinds.

Over all I think I like sunsets better, as I think they are more colourful and beautiful, however I do like sunrises! Thanks for reading today's blog post! Goodbye for now! xxx
